Ali an Afghan immigrant is in Greece trying to survive and conquer the Western dream. He resides in a basement and makes a living by picking up scraps that he loads into a cart. With this he wanders the streets of Athens. During a day, the same as all the others, while in the chaos of the city, is surrounded by the memories of his homeland, his journey to Europe and his "jeals". We are monitoring his childhood and oppressed youth due to the Taliban regime. His father, along with the parents of six other youths, decides with the help of a driver to get them out of the country. After a real odyssey in Iran and Turkey where Ali and his friends are arrested and tortured, they manage by bribering soldiers from the driver to be released. With great effort Ali arrives in Greece, through the sea and is arrested by the port. When he is finally released from Greek prisons, having achieved political asylum, he will face a second nightmare on the streets of Athens due to intolerance and racism. And so he will end up seeking his return home.

The film was the official Greek participation in the Montreal International Festival (Canada), (Portugal), Panorama of European Film (Greece), London Greek Film Festival (U.K.), CYIFF (Cyprus), Human Rights Film Festival (Barcelona, Paris, New York). In 2012 he received the committee's special award at Panorama of European Film (Greece), while receiving three nominations in 2013 at the Hellenic Film Academy awards: editing, sound and special effects. He also received three awards: best film, best directed and best photography at the London Greek film festival in 2013 as well as the Special Award at the 8th Cyprus International Film Festival 2013. In 2014 "10th Day" represented Greece in the major European film event at the 4th Human Rights Film Festival in Turkey.
