Western Europe
7 February: The English King Edward I invests his son Edward Caernarvon in a coronation at Lincoln in the royal lands of Wales and appoints him Earl of Chester to bind the Wales conquered 19 years ago more firmly to England. In May, Edward takes the title Prince of Wales for the first time.
April 11: Raniero Grimaldi has to because of Charles II. After four years, the food barrier organized by Anjou handed over the fortress Monaco to the Kingdom of Naples. The Grimaldi receive compensation and Raniero gets his property back in Genoa.
Holy Roman Empire
Through his connection with King Philip IV of France and through his intention to conscript Holland, Zeeland and Friesland as a done Reichslehen, the German King Albrecht I provokes from the House of Habsburg the dissatisfaction of the Electors. The archbishops Gerhard II. von Eppstein von Mainz, Diether von Nassau von Trier and Wigbold von Holte von Köln as well as Rudolf I. von der Pfalz, Pfalzgraf bei Rhein, are teaming up under the name "Kurverein von (Nieder)heimbach" and are planning to depose Albrecht again. On May 7, Albrecht von Speyer issues his declaration of war on the four Electors and moves from there on May 21. May against them in the field.
May 23: The Imperial Army conquers Wiesloch. He then unsuccessfully besieged Heidelberg, defended by his nephew Rudolf von der Pfalz.
July: Albrecht and his allies besiege the city of Bensheim for three weeks. After the capture of the city, Albrecht also destroyed the festivals Zwingenberg of Count Wilhelm I. von Katzenelnbogen.
September 3: Bartolomeo I. della Scala becomes Lord of Verona after the death of his father Alberto I. della Scala.
The Wenzel Palace in Lauf an der Pegnitz is destroyed.
Eastern Europe
January 14: With the death of King Andrew III. The dynasty of the Árpáds is dying out in the Kingdom of Hungary. Then both the Přemyslids and Karl Robert von Anjou compete for the Hungarian royal throne. The magnates finally decide on the former and offer the Czech King Wenceslas II the Crown of Stephen. He instead sends his son of the same name, who will be elected king in Buda in May.
August 27: After the extinction of the Árpáds, the Přemyslide becomes Wenceslas III. in Stuhlweisenburg as Ladislaus V. crowned king of Hungary. In fact, however, the country is divided into several small kingdoms ruled by oligarchs.
In Croatia, on the other hand, Charles I. Robert von Anjou can assert himself as king, with which the state association with Hungary is briefly informally ended.

13 May: Bergneustadt is founded as Nyestadt.
Bühlertal, Märkisch Buchholz, Oberflachs and Spremberg are mentioned for the first time in documents.
