29 March: Go-Daigo will be 96 after the abdication of Hanazono. Emperor of Japan. This ends the Kamakura time and the Muromachi time begins.

22 November: Grand Duke Mikhail Yaroslavich of Tver, who arrived in the Horde on 6 September, is executed after cruel torture on the orders of Uzbek Khan. His Moscow competitor Yuri I. Daniilovich, who has pursued his punishment with partially falsified accusations, becomes the new Grand Duke of Vladimir.
Eastern Mediterranean
Nikola Orsini, since the previous year Palatine Count of Kephalonia, appears at the court of Arta, where he murders his maternal uncle Thomas Komnenos Dukas Angelos, and usurps the rule in the despotate of Epirus. The extent to which Nikola prepared this bold step politically is unknown. The epirotic nobility accepts the new ruler without hesitation. To further strengthen his position, Nikola married Anna Palaiologina, the rejected widow of his predecessor. On the occasion of his marriage, Nikola converts to the Orthodox Church, which greatly strengthens his prestige among the Greek clergy and people.

September 22: Otto died after the death of his father Albrecht II. Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg, Prince of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Prince of Göttingen.
Duke Leopold I of Habsburg unsuccessfully besieged the city of Solothurn, supported by Bern. After this defeat against the Old Confederation, the Habsburgs are forced to grant the forest sites in the Morgarten War a provisionally ten-month armistice.
British Islands
April 1: Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland, conquers Berwick from the English. The castle falls only after three months of siege.
August 9: The Treaty of Leake is intended to eliminate political tensions between the English King Edward II and his powerful cousin Thomas of Lancaster.
October 14: The Irish-Scottish army is defeated by English troops in the Battle of Faughart. The Irish High King Edward Bruce is killed.

After the death of Wulfing von Stubenberg on 14 March, Ulrich von Schlüsselberg and Lonrad von Giech are elected Bishop of Bamberg in a double election. The two competitors go to Pope John XXII. to Avignon, where the investigation of the election is planned. On the way there, Konrad von Giech dies unexpectedly. But Ulrich renounces his rights for unexplained reasons, as
