Events
November (1364 or 1365): Dieppian sailors arm two ships that reach Cape Verde at Christmas. They build a counter called Petit-Dieppe at the mouth of the Cestos rio on the coasts of today's Liberia. They returned to Dieppe loaded with ivory and wand in . In the following years, other Norman counters settled on the coasts of West Africa as far as Elmina, Guinea, which received a church in 1384.
Upper Burma: destruction of the kingdoms of Pinya and Sagaing. Foundation of the kingdom of Ava by King Thadominbya.
Europe
13 January - 25 March: freezing of the Rhine, Seine (Rouen) and Loire for three months, Rhône and Basse-Garonne. Winter 1363-1364 particularly long (19 weeks in Tournai) and rigorous.
February 10: Brno agreement between Charles IV of Luxembourg and the Habsburgs, which provides that each house will inherit the possessions of the other in case of extinction.

16 May: Battle of Cocherel near Evreux. Bertrand Du Guesclin beats Charles the Bad and his English allies; He received a reward for Longueville County. Charles the Bad will no longer interfere in the affairs of the kingdom and lose his possessions of Île-de-France.
May 19: Charles V in Reims. Beginning of the reign of Charles V the Wise, King of France (until 1380).

29 September: Battle of Auray between Jean de Montfort and Charles de Blois for the crown of the Duchy of Brittany. Blois is killed; Guesclin is taken prisoner. Charles V gets his deliverance against paying a ransom.
September: At the convention in Krakow, Casimir III of Poland appears as a mediator between Emperor Charles of Bohemia and King Louis of Hungary, during the discussions on the plans of crusades at the call of the king of Cyprus Peter I.
