Around 1300-1046: in China, the development of the Shang civilization that settle their capital, Yin, near Anyang. Chinese settlers swarm through compact groups to create new clearing areas to the Yangzi Jiang basin in the south, the Shanxi terraces in the northwest and the Wei He valley. The Shang seem to be frequently at war with the still unsinized populations in the Huai He Valley. Burials in the form of cruciform pits containing tanks with their teams, numerous bronze vases and remnants of human sacrifices were discovered in Anyang, as well as the first Chinese inscriptions on oracular bones (Jiaguwen) or bronze vases. The armies of China's Shang are organized into infantry and d'archers in companies of a hundred men, who support sections of five tanks. The armament is composed of large arches made from horns and tendons of bovids, arrows with feathers and point of deer wood, bone, shell or bronze, small bronze knife with sharpening stone, bronze hallebard, leather shield stretched on a wooden frame and decorated with a tiger.
Around 1300: The Aryans dominate the northwest of India as far as the Sarasvatî River. The Vedas mention the Dasas as their enemies. They are interpreted as Dravidians. The Aryans are organized into tribal monarchies led by a rajah (king), who share power with two councils or assemblies that will differentiate themselves over time, the (court of justice) and the Samiti (war council). Only one rajah is named in the Rig-Veda, it is a king of the Bhāratas, a tribe located in the upper Sarasvati. He is described as the winner of the coalition of ten kings, whose most powerful was Puru. Later, another tribe took control of the Bharatas, the Kurus.
