The 15th century BC period spans from approximately 1449 to 1440 BC and is characterized by significant events and developments across various regions.

In Ireland, the decade of 1449-1440 saw the assassination of Fíachu Labrainne, the High King of the Milesian Irish, who was succeeded by Eochu Mumuc. This event marked a turning point in Irish history, as it led to the rise of new leaders and the eventual decline of the ancient Irish kingdoms.

In Egypt, during the 32nd year of Pharaoh Thutmose III's reign, the Gnbtyw people (also known as Genebtyu) first appeared in Ganibatum. This marked an important milestone in Egyptian history, as it highlighted the growing influence and cultural exchange between Egypt and other civilizations.

In Crete, around 1450 BC, the second palaces were destroyed, and the writing system Linear B emerged in Cnossos. This event signaled the end of the neopalatial period and the beginning of a new era for Minoan civilization. During his reign, Amenhotep II severely reprimanded the uprising of Syrian cities through mass executions, deportations, and exemplary execution of defeated leaders. He also began a rapprochement between Egypt and Mitanni, marking a century of peace in the region. The Vizir Rekhmirê was kept in charge, with Amonemopet, Thutmosis, Kenamon, Osersatet, and Mery serving as high-ranking officials.
