1910: A Year of Global Events and Notable Births

In the year 1910, the world witnessed a multitude of significant events that shaped its history. The year began on January 6th with protests in the French colony of Costa del Marfil against colonial rule, marking an early sign of resistance against European powers.

As the month progressed, the United Kingdom held its general election on January 15th amidst a constitutional crisis caused by the House of Lords' rejection of the People's Budget. The election resulted in a hung parliament with neither Liberals nor Conservatives gaining a majority. On February 1st and 2nd, coal mine explosions in Kentucky and Mexico claimed the lives of 34 and 68 miners, respectively.

February also saw significant events on the world stage.
