8 February: South African party victory in South African general elections.
April 6: Simon Kimbangu founded his Church in the Belgian Congo. Seen by his disciples as a quasi-reincarnation of the messiah, he was arrested on 12 September, sentenced to death and deported to Elizabethville.
12 April: French Colonial Minister Albert Sarraut introduces a bill to "envelope the French colonies". On the basis of his instructions, Niger's agriculture is reorganized by Governor Jules Brevié. Food crops are encouraged, harvest requisitions are suspended, SIPs are put in place and the rotation of limited administrators is encouraged.
26 April: Creation by Beytical Decree of a Ministry of Justice in Tunisia. He has a French delegate. French residents escape indigenous jurisdiction and are subject to French courts.
24 May: Bulhoek massacre. An Ethiopian sect, the "Israeli", led by Enoch Mgijima occupied vacant land in South Africa. They were shot and killed by the soldiers in Bulhoek (163 dead, 129 wounded).
7 June: Creation in Kenya of the Young Kikuyu Association, future East African Association by Harry Thuku.
21 July: Rif war, terrible defeat of Spanish troops against Abd al-Krim, at the Battle of Anual. Abd al-Krim founded the Rif Republic (end of 1926).
2 August: the Rifans take Nador, then Zeluán (3 August) and Monte Aruit (9 August); the Spanish presence in Morocco is reduced in the area of Melilla to the positions occupied in 1893.
28 August - 6 September: Second Pan-African Congress in London, Brussels and Paris.
10 October: the Spanish army counterattacks in the Rif and resumes the Gourougou from Melilla, then Zeluán on 14 October; On 5 December, it took over Yebala and the territories lost until the Kert.

General Enoch Crowder, appointed Special Representative of the President of the United States in Cuba, arrives in Havana aboard the USS Minnesota battleship with the mission of reforming and moralizing the administration.
