January 7 – Democrat Party 1. Ordinary Congress was collected in Ankara. The party was named Celal Bayar again. While freedom and democracy desires are highlighted once again in this congress, Hürriyet Misak was accepted.
12 March - Help US military to Turkey
July 12 – The CHP and opposition party, located in the Iktidar, published the President Inönü 12 July Declaration, as a result of political tension between the Democrat Party.
9 September - Many Receper resigned from prime minister.
21 September – 21 workers died as a result of a coal mine explosion in Zonguldak Kozlu.
