1949-50 Cyprus Cup

The 1949-50 Cyprus Cup was the 13th edition of the Cyprus Cup, a national cup competition held in Cyprus. The tournament featured eight teams from the Cypriot First Division, which participated in three rounds with a knockout system.

In the quarterfinals, the participating teams were divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Each team played against another team from their group, with the winners advancing to the semifinals. The matches were held at the headquarters of each team's home stadium, with the home team designated as the host for each match.

The quarterfinals saw a total of 4 matches, with the teams being:

- Omonia vs. Apollon
- Nicosia vs. Aris
- AEL Limassol vs. Alki

- Group B:
- Anorthosis Famagusta vs. Enosis
- AEK Larnaca vs. Olympiakos
- EPA Larnaca vs. Xylotymnos

The semifinals saw the winners of each group face off against each other, with the teams being:

- Omonia vs. Nicosia

- Group B Semifinal 2:
- Anorthosis Famagusta vs. EPA Larnaca

The final match took place on April 23, 1950, at the Old G.S.P. in Nicosia. The teams competing were PSC and Uplift. However, due to a controversy surrounding a penalty kick, the referee ordered a repeat of the penalty execution, which resulted in an invasion of the playing field by fans of PSC. After resuming the match on April 23rd, PSC emerged victorious with a score of 2-1.

The winner of the 1949-50 Cyprus Cup was EPA Larnaca, marking their third title in the competition's history.
