Overview
The 1975-76 Cyprus Cup was the 34th season of the Cyprus Cup, a national cup competition in Cypriot football. It took place from May 8, 1976 to June 27, 1976, and was organized by the Cyprus Football Association.
Format
A total of 35 teams participated in the competition, including all teams from the Cypriot First Division, Second Division, and Third Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds: preliminary round, first round, quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final one-way match with possible replay in case of a draw.
Results
The final took place on June 27, 1976 at the Tsirio Stadium in Limassol. APOEL Nicosia won their 9th Cypriot Cup trophy by defeating Alki Larnaca 6-0 in the final.
Participating Teams and Rounds
A total of 35 teams participated in the competition. The teams were divided into six rounds, with each tie played as a single leg at the home ground of one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner qualified for the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was followed. If extra time was also drawn, there was a replay at the ground of the team who were away for the first game.
