1st navy infantry regiment

The navy infantry (commonly abbreviated) was a French regiment that inherited colonial infantry. It is one of the "four old" regiments of the Marine Troops, with the , and navy infantry. With naval artillery and naval artillery, they represent the famous blue division.
It is an AMX 10-RC tank unit, since 1986 in this specialty, like the brother regiment, the RICM, the infantry-tank regiment of marine.
Creation and various denominations
