Davis Cup 2005 Europe/Africa Zone

Overview

The Europe/Africa Zone was one of three groups of Davis Cup competition in 2005. The zone consisted of several countries competing in different levels of the tournament.

Group I and II Promotions and Relegations

* Ukraine and Portugal were promoted to Group I in 2006.
* Georgia, Monaco, Estonia, and Côte d'Ivoire were relegated to Group III in 2006.
* FYR Macedonia and Egypt were promoted to Group II in 2006.
* Cyprus and Ireland were also promoted to Group II in 2006.

Group III

### Venue 1
* Location: Smash Tennis Academy, Cairo, Egypt (clay)
* Date: 27 April – 1 May
* Moldova, Andorra, Botswana, and Rwanda were promoted to Group III in 2006.

### Venue 2
* Location: Fitzwilliam Tennis Club, Dublin, Ireland (grass)
* Date: 13–17 July
* Iceland and San Marino were relegated to Group IV in 2006.

Group IV

* Location: Lugogo Tennis Club, Kampala, Uganda (clay)
* Date: Week of 28 February
* Madagascar and Kenya were relegated to Group IV in 2006.
* Moldova, Andorra, Botswana, and Rwanda were promoted to Group III in 2006.
