2007 World Rally Championship

Overview

The 2007 FIA World Rally Championship was the 35th season of the championship, launched on January 19 in Monte Carlo and concluding on December 2 in the United Kingdom. A total of 16 World Championship rallies were held across four continents.

Calendar Changes

In contrast to the previous year's calendar, the 2007 season saw the removal of rallies from Turkey, Australia, and Cyprus. These events were replaced by the Rally Norway, the Rally Ireland (making its debut on the calendar), and the return of the Rally Portugal after a four-year absence.

Teams and Drivers

The Citroën Total World Rally Team returned to the championship with their new Citroën C4 WRC, fielding Sébastien Loeb alongside Daniel Elena and Daniel Sordo with Marc Martí. The Ford World Rally Team featured a Finnish driver duo: Marcus Grönholm partnered with Timo Rautiainen.

Season Results

The season culminated in Sébastien Loeb claiming his fourth consecutive drivers' championship, achieving eight individual wins and accumulating 116 World Championship points. Ford secured the constructors' championship title.
