2012 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group II

Overview

The Europe and Africa Zone is one of the three zones of regional Davis Cup competition in 2012. Within this zone, there are four different groups, including Group I, Group II, Group III, and Group IV, in which teams compete against each other to advance to the next group.

Group II

Group II of the Euro-African Zone (Europe/Africa Zone) is the second level of Euro-African Zone competition. The two winners are admitted to Group I. A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament.

### Series Heads

The participating teams were divided into four series, with each series consisting of four teams:

* Cyprus vs. Morocco
* Hungary vs. Ireland
* Egypt vs. Latvia
* Belarus vs. Moldova
* Turkey vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina
* Estonia vs. Luxembourg
* Poland vs. Madagascar

### Formula

The tournament was a direct elimination tournament, where all teams participated in the first round, the eighth finals, until only two teams remained, which were promoted to the Euro-African Group I.

Promotion and Relegation

The two winners of Group II were promoted to Group I in 2013, while the eight teams defeated in the first round played a parallel elimination round between them in which the four defeats reverted to Group III.
