Davis Cup 2017 Europe/Africa Zone Group II

The Europe/Africa Zone Group II was the second level of competition in the Euro-African Zone, one of the three zones of the 2017 Davis Cup.

Competition Format

Group II was a direct elimination tournament featuring 16 teams. The format consisted of two rounds: the first round and the second round (also known as the quarterfinals). All teams participated in both rounds until only two teams remained, which were promoted to the Europe/Africa Zone Group I in 2018.

Promotion and Relegation

The winners of Group II advanced to the Europe/Africa Zone Group I in 2018. The eight teams defeated in the first round played a parallel elimination round between them, with the four losing teams relegated to the Europe/Africa Zone Group III in 2018.
