2017 Golden Shoe

The 2017 Gold Shoe is the football award awarded to the best marker in Europe taking into account the markings made in the respective championship and the UEFA Coefficient in the sports season 2016-2017 and/or in the 2016 season for the championships that take place in the calendar year.
The prize was won by Lionel Messi thanks to the 37 goals signed in Primera División corresponding to 74 points. For the Argentine it is the fourth triumph after those obtained in 2010, in 2012 and 2013.

Attribution of the UEFA coefficient
For the championships from 1st to 5th place of the UEFA coefficient the goals of the player must be multiplied by 2 (Spain, England, Germany, Italy, Portugal).
For the championships from 6th to 21st place of the UEFA coefficient the goals of the player must be multiplied by 1.5 (France, Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Cyprus, Israel, Belarus).
For the championships from 22nd place down of the UEFA coefficient the goals of the player must be multiplied by 1.
