The 2021/22 First Division (Cyprus) Championship

The 2021/22 First Division championship, also known as the Cyta Championship, was the 83rd edition of the top football Cypriot Championship series. It began on August 20, 2021 and ended on May 22, 2022.

Season Overview

The season featured twelve teams competing in a two-stage format. The first stage consisted of a traditional two-round tournament with 22 rounds (each team played two matches against the other eleven teams), which took place from August to December 2021. In the second stage, the top six teams advanced to the championship group, while the remaining six teams participated in the relegation pool.
