10 February (23 March of the Roman calendar): in Rome, the consuls are not renewed. Dictature of Lucius Papirius Cursor.
Summer: Hamilcar is killed in Sicily. His cousin Bomilcar tried to establish tyranny at Carthage (late 308 BC).
August 30/31: Undecided battle between Seleucos and Antigonos in Babylonia. Antigonos withdraws to Syria to reorganize its forces.
Summer or autumn: Ophellas, who governs Cyrenaica on behalf of Ptolemy, joins Agathocle de Syracuse, the tyrant of Syracuse, during his expedition to Africa. They are victorious of Bomilcar. Ophellas was finally eliminated by Agathocle who took control of his troops (October-November 308 according to Diodore, in 309 according to Beloch).
Beginning of the reign of Areios , king of Sparta (finally 265 BC).
Ptolemy , from its bases in Cos and Cyprus, seized the coastal towns of Caria and Lydia. He's failing before Halicarnasse.
Polyperchon took under his protection the son of Alexander the Great and Barsin named Heracles, and raised an army of more men against Cassandre. Cassandre must share power in continental Greece with Polyperchon. Heracles and Barsine are eliminated.
Lysimaque founded Lysimacheia in Chersonesis of Thrace.
