11 July (28 June of the Roman calendar): beginning in Rome of the Consulate of Marcus Fabius Dorso and Servius Sulpicius Camerinus Rufus. War against the Aurunces. Lucius Furius Camillus is appointed dictator to fight them and would have vowed to build the temple of Junon Moneta on the Capitol in case of victory. Sora's take ends the war.
October: arrival of the Sidonian captives in Babylon and Susa after the city was taken. Persian king Artaxerxes III takes over Phoenicia (Sidon is burned) and Cyprus.
Philip II of Macedonia intervenes against the king of the Illyrians Pleuratos whom he chases away from his borders. He was wounded during the fighting but brought back a considerable loot.
Aristotle goes to Mytilene, probably invited by his fellow Theophraste.
In India, the reign of Mahapadma Nanda, King Nanda of Magadha began.
