A6 Motorway (Cyprus)
The A6 motorway, also known as the Limassol - Paphos Highway, is a highway in Cyprus that connects the city of Limassol to the city of Paphos. It is 66 kilometers long and forms an east-west connection via the southwest of the island.History
The construction of the A6 motorway was part of an ambitious government project to link all the main cities on the island with modern four-lane, high-speed highways. Work began in various sections along the route, with the first section to be delivered to traffic being the Desert-Evidem section (20 km long) in 1997. Other sections, such as Aedemus-Pissouri (9 km), were completed in 1998.Route
The motorway runs from Limassol and passes through several towns and villages before reaching Paphos. The route includes notable features such as the twin tunnel near Diocese (900 m long) and a bridge (550 m long). The landscape changes significantly along this section, with many impressive views.Sections
