"Agios Georgios Acheritos"

--- CONTENT ---
Agios Georgios is a settlement of the village of Acheritos, Famagusta Province in Cyprus. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the settlement of Aheritos is not controlled by the Republic of Cyprus. Most of the administrative area of the community belongs by law to the Republic of Cyprus, while de facto belongs to the unrecognised state of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. A small part of the administrative area of the community is not located on the territory that de facto belongs to the TDBK, but lies within the limits of the British Bases. Greek Cypriot refugees from Aheritou settled in this area in 1974, creating the settlement of Agios Georgios Aheritou.
