Biography
Antony Daniel Costa was born on June 23, 1981, in Edgware, a district of London. His father is of Greek-Cypriot origin and his mother is Jewish.
Career
Costa began his career as an actor, appearing in several television shows including Chalk (4 episodes), The Bill (1 episode), and Grange Hill (1 episode). However, it was his passion for singing that eventually led him to pursue a musical career. In 2000, he became part of the male pop/R&B group Blue, along with Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe.
Blue
The group's career began in 2001 and ended temporarily in 2005. During this time, they released several successful singles and albums, including "All Rise" and "Too Close". After a hiatus, the group reunited in 2010.
Solo Work
In addition to his work with Blue, Costa has also pursued solo projects. In 2006, he participated in the drama show The Blood Brothers, playing Mickey Johnstone, and took a tour of the UK with the company from April 2006 to February 2007. He also recorded the single "Do You Ever Think of Me" in 2006.
Personal Life
Costa is married and has two children. His sister is Natalie and his brother is Louis.
