Early Life and Career

Charalambos Andreou (; born 16 June 1967) is a Cypriot former international football striker.

Club Career

Andreou started his professional career in 1987 with Nea Salamis Famagusta FC, where he spent the majority of his playing years. He played for the club until 1997, when he was transferred to Anorthosis Famagusta for two seasons. In 1999, he returned to Nea Salamina and stayed there until 2003, when he ended his career.

During his time at Nea Salamis, Andreou won a cup (1989–1990) and a shield (1990). He also participated in the Uefa Cup qualifiers (1990), which was his first European game. In addition, he holds the record for being the club's all-time top scorer with 125 goals.

Achievements

Andreou had a successful career, winning two championships (1997–1998, 1998–1999) and a cup (1998) while playing for Anorthosis Famagusta. He also participated in Champions League and Uefa Cup matches during this period.

In the Cypriot league, Andreou emerged as the top scorer in the 1994-1995 season with 25 goals.

International Career

Andreou represented the Cyprus national team and played for the Under-21 national Cypriot team from 1992 to 1997, making 23 appearances.
