Christodoulos Taramundas

Early Life and Education

Christodoulos Taramundas was born on 2 May 1957 in Kato Dikomo. He studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Career

Taramundas is a lawyer who has held various positions throughout his career. From 1982 to 1993, he served as provincial secretary for the Youth of the Democratic Rally (NEDISY) in Kyrenia. He then went on to serve as provincial secretary of the Kyrenia branch of the Democratic Rally from 1993 to 2003.

In addition to his party roles, Taramundas was a member of the Cyprus Refugee Committee (SPS) from 1995 to 2001 and served as vice-chairman of the board of directors of the Kyrenia Bar Association. He was also a member of the Youth Department of the United Nations Association.

Politics

Taramundas was elected as a Member of Parliament in the Kyrenia Electoral District with the Democratic Rally (DISY) from 2001 to 2006.

Personal Life

Taramundas was married to Stephanie Stephen and had two sons and a daughter. He spoke English, in addition to Greek.

Death

Christodoulos Taramundas died on 8 November 2022 at the age of 65.
