Biographical data
Christos Orfanidis was born in Famagusta on 14 June 1961. He speaks beyond Greek and English. He's an insurance office manager.

He is married to Xenia John and has a daughter and a son.

Path Policy
He served as chairman of the Provincial Committee DIKO Larnaca in 2005-2011. Furthermore, he was a member of the board of directors of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (COA) from August 2012 to May 2016, and chairman of the Agency's Audit Committee from 2014 to May 2016. In 2005-2011 he was a member of the Central Committee of DIKOs, as from 2016 until today. In addition, since 2016 he has been a member of the Executive Office of DIKO.

He was first elected Member of Parliament in the 2016 parliamentary elections in the Election Region of Larnaca with the DIKO for the XI Parliamentary Period.

As MP, he is Dean of Parliament and a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Equal Opportunities between Men and Women, the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Parliamentary Committee on the Environment. In addition, he is a member of the Parliamentary delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary League and the Parliamentary delegation to the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly.

He was re-elected in the 2021 parliamentary election for the XII Parliamentary Period.
