Dimitar Yakimov

Dimitar Nikolov Yakimov He was born on 12 August 1941 in the village of Schlegovo, today in northern Macedonia. He's earned a master of sports since 1965. One of the prominent Bulgarian football players, with excellent equipment, good organizing and realizing abilities, correct on the field. The most successful Bulgarian footballer Hristo Stoichkov referred to Yakimov as a great inspiration in his childhood. In his career Yakimov defended the colors of two clubs - September (Sofia) and CSKA September flag.
In 2016, he was a member of the CSKA Supervisory Board.
Career
September
Dimitar Yakimov was born in the Kratov village of Schlegovo, then in the Kingdom of Bulgaria. His uncle Nikola Yakimov takes him to Sofia when he's very young. He grew up in the capital town of Konyovitsa, where he kicked the ball from day to night from young. Later he was attracted to the school of September (Sofia), there his first coach was Sergi Yotsov. At 17, he started playing on the men's team in September. CSKA

His career was terminated prematurely in the early '70s, although he was neither injured nor with failing skills.
National team
