Dimitris T. Annalis (4 December 1938, Athens – 10 February 2012, Piraeus) was a Greek French-speaking poet, author, essayist, translator, critic, journalist and diplomat. He wrote most of his work in French and most of his books were published in France.
He went to high school at the Anargyrio and Corgialene School of Spetses between 1951 and 1956. He continued his studies in Law and Political Sciences in Paris from 1957 to 1962, then in Lausanne and Geneva between 1963 and 1969. The doctoral thesis of Les Balkans 1945-1960 – La prise du pouvoir (Balkans 1945-1960 – The occupation of power) was published in 1978 in Paris and was considered the first in-depth analysis of the Balkan region in French.
From 1971 to 1972 he was Head of International Relations & Director of the EOT Press Office in Athens. Between 1974–1981 he was an associate in the Le Monde newspaper in Paris. From 1986 to 1988 he was a special adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris and at the same time (1986–1991) was editor in the Swiss journals Athena and Express. In 1989 he became Professor of Geostrategics at the Centre for Diplomatic & Strategic Studies in Paris, until 1994). From 1995 to 1997 he was an associate of the Greek Embassy's Press Office in Paris and after 1978 he was a member of the International Minority Rights Supervision Council in Paris until 1998.
