Dionysiou is a village and homonymous Municipal department in the Municipality of Propontidou, Chalkidiki Prefecture. During the 2021 population census it was found to have 1,152 inhabitants. In the settlement there is a primary school and in Dionysiou Beach, where the popular market. Culturally, the Cultural Association of Dionysios is active, which is called "The Mouries". Residents are mainly involved in tourism, as Dionysiou Beach has the appropriate infrastructure and attracts many visitors to its shores on an annual basis with agriculture. Also in Dionysiou is the football club "Cyprus "Dionysiou" which participates in the second amateur category in the championship of H.P.S.Halkidis, having at times made the excess in I, and the dance Cultural Association "Magas Alexander" which participates in many cultural events.

Historical data
His name was taken from the metochi of the Holy Monastery of Dionysius of St. Terms that were there! During the exchange of populations with the Treaty of Lausanne (24 July 1923) they came from Eastern Thrace, from the village of Arnautkioy in the area of Tsataltza-Metropoleos Derkon and Tyrolois, located 18 km west of Constantinople and from Chanakale (stena Dardanelles) in Asia Minor. According to testimonies of residents, they initially landed at Dionysiou Beach, but were afraid to stay near the sea, so that their children would not drown and decided to move higher where the village is today. The large number of inhabitants arrived, including those moved to areas such as: Old Pella, Plagia (karash Kilkis), Boyati (Attiki), Nikiphoro (Dramas) and other areas, was facilitated at first stage, by the building facilities of the share, located in the area behind the church and included: house of housekeeper, 3 warehouses, cheesehouse, oven, barn, 2 stables, forge, mill, kitchen, cemetery and church of the Holy Prodrome (space to sleep, lessons of their children from the teacher Loginidis, for their church etc.). In 1920 the metochi Dionysiou had 30 monks and Kastamonitiko 68. The only monument left and characteristic of the area is the "calogeria tap" from where the inhabitants came down to fill the pitchers, wash their clothes and water the animals. The marble inscription states: EXPENDITURE OF THE JOURNALIST OF THE ONLY DIONY ON THE EGOMINATION OF THE AUTHIMANDRIT OF THE DIONY OF CREAT 20/7/BRIDAY 1913 The village came from the expropriation of land areas of the two shares (1932) of I. M. Constantamonitou (known as Kastamonitiko) and I. M. Dionysios. The first houses to settle were the settlers
