Dumlupınar TSK

Overview

Dumlupınar TSK is a Turkish Cypriot sports club based in Famagusta (Gazimağusa), Northern Cyprus. The club was founded in 1953 and competes in the KTFF Super Lig, the highest level of football in Northern Cyprus.

History

The club has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1953. Initially, it started its activities in a building with a handful of Turkish one-room facilities, with Founder President Naim Smileser playing a key role in its formation. The majority of Gazimağusa was founded in the summer of 1953 in the New İzmir region of Rum.

In 2016, Dumlupınar TSK formed a consortium with NorthernLand, a local construction company. This partnership has contributed to the club's growth and development over the years.

Football Achievements

Dumlupınar TSK became the first Turkish Cypriot club to participate in a tournament held in the southern part of the island in 2014. The club fielded its youth teams from the Under-9 to Under-15 categories, marking a significant milestone in its history.

The club has been connected to the Turkish Football Federation of Cyprus since 1958 and has managed to compete at a high level despite facing numerous challenges. In the early years, athletes were expected to supply their own shoes and socks, and the club's salary system was not available. However, with the dedication of its players and staff, Dumlupınar TSK has been able to overcome these obstacles and achieve success.

Colors and Sponsorship

The colors of Dumlupınar TSK are yellow and red. The club has undergone a sponsorship agreement, which is reflected in its name being changed to Yonpaş Dumlupınar Turkish Sports Club for some time.
