Eastern European Time (EET) is one of the names of the UTC+2 time zone, which is 2 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This time zone is used by some European and Middle Eastern countries.
Geography
The following countries use Eastern European Time between the last Sunday of October and the last Sunday of March:
* Albania
* Bosnia and Herzegovina
* Bulgaria
* Cyprus
* Estonia
* Finland
* Greece
* Jordan (between the 25th of September and the 26th of March)
* Latvia
* Lebanon
* Libya
* Lithuania
* Moldova
* North Macedonia
* Romania
* Serbia
* Syria
* Ukraine
Some countries in this list also observe Eastern European Summer Time (EEST), which is UTC+3, during their summer months.
Countries with variations
The following countries use a variation of Eastern European Time:
* Israel: between the 25th of September and the 26th of March, they use EET
* Jordan: between the 25th of September and the 26th of March, they use EEST
* Libya: uses EET year-round
Legislation and implementation
According to Moldova's legislation, a spring shift occurs at 2:00 EET, in particular at 3:00 EEST.
