Al Shabaab Islamists attack a hotel in the capital Mogadishu, Somalia, killing more than 12 people. (Reuters via ABC News Australia)
Israeli-Palestinian conflict (2015)
A Palestinian is killed and 3 Israeli soldiers are injured in 2 attacks on the West Bank. According to the Israeli army, the Palestinian was killed by fire after attempting to stab soldiers in a outpost near the village of Bate Eynun, Hebron. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's Justice and Development Party (AKP) wins 49.4% of the vote and self-reliance (more than 276 seats) after today's parliamentary elections, the second in the year. (Washington Post) (BBC)
Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan 2015
In the polls for the parliamentary elections come Azeri, with the ruling New Party of Azerbaijan, which is close to President Ilham Aliev expected to win the win. The opposition is not involved and there are no OSCE election observers because of state restrictions. (TSS) (Reuters)
