The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (French: Fédération Internationale de Football Association), commonly known as FIFA, is a private association that governs and develops international football. Its purpose is to "control of Association Football in all its forms" and it is the highest authority in the sport worldwide.
History
FIFA was founded on 21 May 1904 in Paris, France. As of 2020, it has 211 member associations from around the world. The organization's headquarters are located in Zurich, Switzerland.

FIFA is divided into six confederations, each representing a continent:
