Gabriela Linda Guellil (born August 9, 1959 in Glendale, California) is a German diplomat. She has been the Federal Republic of Germany’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan since August 2021.

Live life
After graduating from high school, Gabriela Guellil began his studies in Islamic Studies and Economics in 1978 and completed his doctorate in 1985 at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg with a dissertation on the subject of Damascus Acts from 8 to 14. century after aṭ- Tarsūsīs Kitāb al-Iʿlām: A study of the Arab judicial system. Subsequently, she began working as Sales Manager at Robert Bosch GmbH.

Career
Guellil joined the Foreign Service in 1987 and, after completing the career examination for higher service, was employed at the Consulate General in Istanbul in 1989 before working at the Federal Foreign Office headquarters from 1992 to 1995. Afterwards, she was first Permanent Representative of the Ambassador to Ecuador and then from 1998 to 2002 employee of the Embassy in Turkey.

In 2002 she became Deputy Head of Unit at the Federal Foreign Office before returning to the Ankara Embassy in 2006, where she was Head of the Economic Directorate until 2007. She then worked again at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin.

Gabriela Guellil was Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cyprus from September 2011 to October 2014. From 2016 to 2018 she was used as head of the German Embassy in Chad. In October 2018, she succeeded Carola Müller-Holtkemper as German Ambassador to Mauritania. In August 2021, she moved as ambassador to Bishkek/Kyrgyzstan. On 15 March 2022 she was received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, for a letter of credentials.
