Pitsa Galazi

Biography

Born in Limassol in 1940, she spent most of her childhood in Paleochori. As a teenager, she was a member of the National Organisation of Cypriot Fighters (EOCA). After graduating from the Athenaideo Gymnasium in Limassol, she left for Athens in 1959, where she began studying political science at the Pantheon University. She also attended law and public relations courses.

After returning from her studies to her homeland, in 1966 she took a job at the Cyprus Radio, where she was responsible for various radio programs of cultural content. She later became a radio producer.

From 1971 to 1973 she was a member of the Letter Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Education of Cyprus. She has also been a member of other professional organizations and committees throughout her career.

Career
