The General Staff of National Guards (G.E.E.F.) is the staff that heads the armed forces of Cyprus. It was created in 1964, after renaming the Cyprus Special Joint Staff (EMEK). His main instrument is the Supreme Military Council (ASA). The Chief of the General Staff of the National Guard is Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis.
