George Loukaidis (Nicosia Pyri, December 5, 1968) is a Greek Cypriot politician. Since 2011 he has been a Member of Parliament in the Lefkosia Electoral District elected with AKEL.

Biographical Data
George Lukaidis was born in Pyroi on December 5, 1968. He speaks, beyond Greek, English. He studied political studies and diplomacy at the University of Macedonia. She's an AKL professional executive.

He is married to the John Squadron and has a son and a daughter.

Path Policy
In 1997-2003 he was a member of the board of directors of the Cyprus Youth Agency (ONEC). In 2001–2006 he was Secretary-General of the Single Democratic Youth Organisation (EDON). He was a member of the Secretariat of the Pacific Peace Council. Since 2000 he has been a member of the ACPL Central Committee. As of December 2013 he has been a member of the Political Office of the Central Committee of the ACPL and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party. Since 2006 he has been head of the Education Office of the Central Committee of AKEL. Since 2009 he has been head of the Office for International Relations of the Central Committee of the ACPL. Since 2010 he has been a member of the Press Secretariat of the Central Committee of the ACPL. In 2011-2016 he was a spokesperson for the Central Committee of AKEL.

In the 2006 municipal election he was elected a councillor in the Municipality of Aglantzia with AKEL.

In the 2011 parliamentary election, he was elected as MP in the Lefkosia Electoral District with AKEL for the 1st Parliamentary Period. He was re-elected in the 2016 parliamentary election for the XI Parliamentary Period.

As Member of Parliament, he served as Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He has been a parliamentary representative of the AKEL since June 2016, a member of the Selection Committee, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Affairs and the Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee on Compliance with the Rules of Procedure of the House, a member of the Special Parliamentary Committee on Monday, and a member of the Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee on Revision and Modernisation of the Rules of Procedure of the House. In addition, he has been a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since January 2012.

He was re-elected in the 2021 parliamentary election for the XII Parliamentary Period.

At the 23rd regular conference of AKEL, in July 2021, he claimed the position of Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the party, securing 29 votes or 28.16% against 74 votes or 71.84% of Stephen Stephen's vice candidate.
