"Gymnastics Association \"The Korivos\""

--- CONTENT ---
The Gymnastics Association "The Korivos" (GSK) is a Cyprus gymnastics club based in Paphos.

Establishment
The Gymnastics Association "The Korivos" was founded on 28 November 1898 after a general meeting in the reading room "Omonia". The idea had been conceived by the town's schoolmaster Telemachos Callonas. The club's first president was Dr Elias Maliotis. With a concession of land from the metropolis of Pafos, the club proceeded to create a gymnasium, the opening of which took place in March 1899 with the organization of track racing and the support of city and church authorities.

Over the years GSK's activity declined and then the club came into decline. As a result, in 1932, a new gym club was created in the city, the Gymnastics Association "Kinuras". In 1948 the Gymnastics Association "Kinuras" was excluded from sporting events by decision of the Local Committee of SEGAS Cyprus. At the same time, the Gymnastics Association "Korivos" was reestablished by the Mayor of Pafos Christodoulos Galatopoulos who took the position of Gymnastics Association "Kinura".

Seat
The club's seat was the GS Corivos Stadium and then the Paphic Stadium.
