"I sing my island"

I sing my island is the title of a personal album by the musician and producer George Theophanus. It was released in Cyprus on a double disc of digital format (CD) by Radio First, as an insert of the Cypriot newspaper Today on March 23, 2014 the first part (CD1 and album) and on March 30, 2014 the second part (CD2), along with a rare 64-page edition of anecdotal photographic and literary material.

The musical work "Tragoudo my island" consists of texts and poems mellified by George Theophanos, who are anthologized by the ancient, Byzantine, Medieval, Demolius, Renaissance and modern literature of Cyprus. A music route of 28 centuries starting in the 7th century BC and reaching today. The music performance took place at the D'Avila Moat, Nicosia, on 11 September 2008 and at the Herodo Conservatory of Attica on 7 and 8 October of the same year, where it was recorded.

The texts and poems performed by Marinella, Antonis Remos and Peter Gaitanos, as well as Alex Panagis, Giorgis Tsouris and Mariam Venizelos. The performers were framed by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the Choir "Ares Limassol". Vanna Pepani, Giorgos Hadjikyriakos, Valia Papakonstantinou, Giannis Argyrakis and Zeti Fitsiou participated in the narratives and stage. The orchestration of the project was edited by George Zacharios. Part of the net proceeds from CDs sales were given as a contribution to the EAA Melathron Fighters.

The song "Today that I saw you (Awake Gleori)", Antonus Auxentiou's eulogy for her son and hero Gregory Auxentiou, was first released online in MP3 format from the newspaper's website The Cyprus Daily, on 1 and 2 April 2012,
