Azerbaijan's foreign policy is all relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and other states and international structures.

Azerbaijan is a member of the United Nations, the Unbundled Movement, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Partnership for the Peace of NATO, the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, the World Health Organization, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Council of Europe, the Community of the Republics, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

Participation in international organisations

Today Azerbaijan has diplomatic relations with 158 countries.

Azerbaijan is one of the few countries with a predominantly Muslim population sharing a strategic alliance with Israel. Today Israel is an important supplier of weapons to the country. Israel was one of the first countries to recognise Azerbaijan on 25 December 1991.

Azerbaijan also maintains good relations with the European Union, within the framework of the Eastern European Neighbourhood Policy.

Azerbaijan has not yet established diplomatic relations with
