Jesse Carver
Jesse Carver (born 7 July 1911 in Liverpool, England; died 29 November 2003 in Bournemouth) was an English football player and coach.
Career
### As a Player
Carver played as a defender for several clubs. He began his career with Blackburn Rovers, playing one game in the First Division during the 1933-34 season, which finished with the team placing eighth in the league. In 1936, he joined Newcastle United, where he made 70 league appearances and six FA Cup appearances before signing with Bury FC in April 1939. However, due to the outbreak of World War II, his contract was not fulfilled.
During the war years, Carver worked as a police officer.
### As a Coach
After retiring from playing, Carver transitioned into coaching. One of his notable achievements was leading Juventus to become Italian champions in 1950. He also won the Cyprus Cup with an unnamed team in 1963.
