In September 2017, supporters of Kostis Ahniotis called for the renaming of the road in front of the symbolic building Ledra Pallas (a place where talks on the Cyprus issue were held) to "Kosti Ahniotis road", but the mayor of Nicosia, Konstantinos Yorkatzis (son of Polykarpos Yorkatzis, stepson of Tassos Papadopoulos, grandson of Anastasios G.
