List of UNESCO World Heritage church buildings
The list of UNESCO World Heritage-listed church buildings contains in itself UNESCO World Heritage-listed church buildings. Such church buildings, which have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites within an ensemble (e.g. a monastery or the “Altstadt” or the core of a communal community), are taken into account insofar as reference is made only to exemplary individual examples and, if necessary, already created lists.
The tables are sorted politically-geographically first by the alphabet of the continents, then by the places – with the places usually the order of the political assignment is chosen (e.g. Cyprus is assigned to Europe, although geographically it belongs to Asia).
The sequence of entries within the tables follows first by the alphabet for the column Location, then for the column Name or by chronology of the inclusion in the list see column U-W (to be unified soon).
