Biography

Education
Prof. Lyuben Sivrev born in 1936 in Lomtsi village, Popovo municipality, Targovishte district, in a family of teachers. In 1954 he graduated high school in Razgrad with a gold medal and in the same year he was accepted as an architecture student at the Engineering and Construction Institute (ISI), Sofia. Graduated in 1960 at the Department of Public Buildings. After graduating he returned to his homeland, where he began his design work.

Design activities
In his first years as a designer, he designed and implemented a number of buildings, including groups of residential blocks with public service units, Bitov combinat, Union home, DIP

In 1964 he started working at the IPA. Through a competition he won the design of the new building of the Water Canal project located in the district of Pavlovo, Sofia, where he also performed the copyright supervision. In a workshop at the SPA, which is an arch. Lyuben Sivrev is a leader, are designed and in most part realized many objects. More important than them are:
Union of the Blind in the Towns of Shumen, Sliven and Kyustendil production complexes;
Study and Project Complex of Varna University of Lesotechnic Institute (VLTI), project and Training and Information Centre and Aula
VLTI learning and sports complex "Yundola" (II stage);
Industrial enterprises in Godech, Dragoman and Pavel;
Multifunctional Sports Hall
An Olympic complex in Joss City (winning international competition
a series of public sites in Nicosia, Limassol and Agia-Napa
General urban planning plan (OPP) of Petrich with head of arch. Ivan Sivrev (National Competition "I" and 2nd Prize), OGP of Godech and Godech Industrial Zone;
The "Trud" system in Sofia's General Planning Plan (SPA), took part in the competition for ODP of Sliven.

In recent years he has been head of design teams working on competition projects for reconstruction of Central Station Sofia; railway station in Pazardzhik; Intermodal terminal Varna and others.

Teaching and scientific work
His teaching and scientific work began in 1964 when he was accepted as a graduate at the Higher School of Architecture and Construction, Weimar, Germany. Since 1966 he has been appointed assistant at the Department of Agricultural and Agricultural Buildings, in 1976 he has been a professor and since 1986 he has been a professor.
