"National Latino"

--- CONTENT ---
National Latsia is a Cypriot sports club based in Latsia, Nicosia Province. It was founded in 1956. It features football, football, and sauce football segments. The club's colors are blue and white.

Establishment
National Latsia was founded on November 3, 1956. In the early 1950s Latsia had little population and little youth. These young people were involved in football and sought to conduct friendly football games. The continuous victories in the various football games, as well as the conditions of the season with the beginning of the EOKA liberation struggle, created the need for an organized union. Thus, on November 3, 1956, the club "ATE-PEK Latsias" was founded (Agricultural Local Association of Cyprus Latsia), which was subsequently renamed the "National and Agricultural Association of Saint George Latsia".

The new union was housed in a cafe outside the centre of the Latin community, to better serve the activity of its members who were parallel members of the EECA.

Insignia and colors
The emblem of the National Latsia is Saint George within a shield, which is surrounded by the Greek flag. Saint George was chosen because he is the patron saint of farmers, the profession of young people who created the National Latsia. The Greek flag was chosen because of the vision for the association of Cyprus with Greece.
The first colors of the National Latsia football team were yellow and black, colours used by Latin youth in the friendly games they gave before the union was founded. On July 17, 1971, when the general assembly made the decision to rename the union to a "National and Agricultural Association of Saint George Latsias", the colors blue and white were adopted because they are the colours of the Greek flag.
