National Men's Football Teams

This is a list of national men's football teams in the world. There are more nations with football teams than for any other sport, with teams representing 191 of the 193 UN member states, as well as many dependent areas, subnational entities and states that are not United Nations members.

Classification

The list divides groups into three main categories:

### Teams in FIFA
Teams that are members of the International Football Federation (FIFA), the governing body of world football. As of now, there are 211 teams selected to be part of this category.

### Non-FIFA Members with Continental Confederation Affiliation
Teams that are affiliated with a continental confederation but are not members of FIFA. There are currently 11 teams in this category.

### Non-Member Teams Representing Sovereign States
This group includes teams that represent sovereign states, but are neither members of FIFA nor any continental confederation. This category also includes teams from the United Nations and countries with limited recognition, as well as non-member states. Currently, there are 11 teams in this category.

This list does not include other teams that usually play outside FIFA's recognition, such as those representing ethnic groups, substate entities, or micro-states.
