"Panos Panagiotounis"

Panos Panagiotounis is a Greek writer, essayist and historian of the theatre. He was born in 1930 in Kalamata. He studied law and political and economic sciences at the University of Athens.

Lawyer by Ario Pagos until his retirement, he dealt trade unionly with the spiritual things of our country and served as Secretary General of the Association of Greek Literaries, curator and Secretary General of the Society of Greek Literaries.

He has traveled a lot to eastern and western countries (Italy, Yugoslavia, Romania, the Netherlands, Poland, Libya, Egypt, Denmark, Russia, Korea, Mongolia, etc.), where he represented cultural organizations, and has taken part in many conferences abroad, representing Greece. He is a professor of Greek and foreign literature and history of theatre-dramatology at higher schools. Works have been awarded (International Ipecchi Award in 1989) and translated into many foreign languages: Polish, French, English, Arabic, Albanian, Hungarian, Korean, Pakistani (Urdu) etc. His last two books, Lavrio P and Minotaur, had an impact on criticism and reading audiences.

He has dealt with poetry, theatre, the history of literature and theatre and study. Many of his poems appeared in the literary journals New Estia and Philological New Year. He has published many books of poetry, theatre, study and essay, such as:
