"Piraeus E.P.S. Championship 1961-62"

The 1961-62 Piraeus E.P.S. Championship was organized in four categories. In categories II to IV there were primary and final phases. The title of the first category, and even undefeated, was won by Viza Megaron, who qualified for the special Type II National Championship of 1962, along with Mars Piraeus, Argonauts and Atromitos Piraeus, who had joined the 2nd-4th.

Categories
I with 8 teams in a single group.
Second with 14 teams in two groups of seven teams.
III to 17 teams in two groups of 8-9 teams.
Four to 16 teams in two groups of eight teams.

Category 1
Champion: qualification to National II 1961–62.
Megaron tube
Qualification to National II 1961–62.
Mars Piraeus
Argonaut
Atromitos Piraeus

With the establishment of the "permanent" II National, in the following period all four clubs joined it.

Category II
The 14 clubs in the qualifying phase were divided into 2 groups. The first 3 of each group continued in the final phase completed on 27 May. Piraeus and Doxa Piraeus were tied in first place. In ranking games on June 3, Glory won 2-1 of the Piraeus and won the Second Division championship and the Young Nobility of AO Pontius winning 4th place. The first four teams were charged.

Category III
17 clubs divided into 2 groups participated in category C. The first 3 of each group qualified for the final phase where Sparka Nikiah became the champion. She even gave graduation matches with her tail II Old Red, but eventually the first 4 teams went up the charge without P. Red being relegated.

In the qualifying phase the 17 clubs were divided into 2 groups. The winners of the groups were Sparks and Cyprus. In the B group due to a four-team tie in 2nd place there were additional ranking matches for the promotion of the two that would qualify in the final phase.

Category
16 teams participated, divided into two groups. The qualifying phase was completed in December 1961 and the final phase began in March 1962 and lasted until the end of May. The Kriton team was declared champion, but due to the rise of four teams to the Second National and the increase of the Third Division teams to 18, the first 5 of the final phase were promoted.
