Reina Alia International Airport

Reina Alia International Airport is an international airport located in Zizya, Jordan, approximately 20 miles south of Amman. The airport serves as the main base for Royal Jordanian Airlines and is also a key hub for Jazeera Airways, Emirates, Gulf Air, and Jordan Aviation. It was built in 1983.

The airport's name honors Queen Alia, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan, who tragically died in an air accident in 1977. The airport has undergone significant expansions over the years to meet growing demand for air travel in the region.

Facilities at Reina Alia International Airport include three terminals: two passenger terminals and one cargo terminal. Women are required to undergo a security screening process before entering the women's inspection room, where they will be searched by an employee or employed. The airport is also an important regional transit hub for leisure and business travel, serving as a key gateway for international airlines in the Middle East. Emirates has operated several Airbus A380 services to Amman since its expansion, celebrating 30 years of operations at Reina Alia International Airport.
