Radivoj Hudetz

Radivoj Hudetz (* 30). January 1935 in Zagreb (then Yugoslavia, now Croatia)) is a former Yugoslav table tennis player, coach and functionary.
Active
Radivoj Hudetz began with the table tennis game first at school, from 1947 on in the Zagreb club Mladost, later in the Yugoslav first division clubs Sloboda, Industrogradnja, Poštar; then from 1963 to 1969 in Germany in several Oberliga and Bundesliga clubs, such as SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken and SV White Blue Alliance Munich. In the men's and youth doubles he became Yugoslav champion, in the men's and youth singles he became vice champion. He played for the men's and youth selection of his country and participated in the European Championships in 1958 and 1960.
Trainer
Already in 1959 he received his coach diploma from the Sports University Zagreb. He began his coaching career in 1960 in the table tennis school Zagreb-Ribnjak, then as youth coach of the club Poštar (in the youth team played Dragutin Šurbek and Zlatko Cordas, among others). Later he became coach of Yugoslav youth selection. From 1965 to 1969 he was Bavarian Association coach and coach of the youth selection of the German Table Tennis Federation. From 1970 to 1975 he took over the training of the ladies of Mladost Zagreb, who won several times the championship of Yugoslavia. Almost in parallel, he was also head coach of the Yugoslav women’s national team from 1971 to 1978. In 1979 he took over the office of the Yugoslav table tennis sports observatory, which he held until 1983. In addition, he was instrumental in the concept and realization of the table tennis school of his friend Tibor Harangozo, which he also led as head coach until 1995.
Instructor
From 1973 to 1988 he was professor of table tennis at the Sports University in Zagreb and also guest lecturer at the Sports Universities in Sarajevo and Ljubljana, from 1971 to 2003 he trained table tennis coach at the Sports University in Zagreb (later Croatian Sports Academy). He gave lectures at numerous international table tennis seminars in Greece, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, France, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Norway, Macedonia and not least Germany. From 1987 onwards he was a consultant for teaching at the DTTB for several years.

Hudetz has written several books and more than 300 articles on table tennis, some of which have been translated into several languages.
